A statue in Copenhagen.
On the way from our hotel to the sound studio in central Copenhagen, I passed this statue every morning, in the autumn of 1995. The film was Harry & Sonja and the sound studio was – Mainstream and the sound designer for the film was Hans Møller. I stayed in the Danish capital for 3 months and strolled around the streets and squares when I was not in the studio working with Hans. This was just the beginning of the digital age, so sometimes I remember that image and sound just disappeared in the cinema we were sitting in and then you could hear running footsteps out in an adjoining corridor and a voice screaming desperately: – Backup! BACKUP!! BACKUP!!! And then Hans would turn to me with a pale and sweaty face and say with excessive calm: – Why don’t you go for a walk ... while we solve this problem.
Thus, I often walked around the streets of Copenhagen, photographing people, parks and statues.
